On Monday, January 18th, the National Park Service is having a free entrance day in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
I love that the National Parks are free on this day. King fought for freedom and equality of all and the idea of the National Parks is to provide places for all people to experience freedom.
We have a beautiful country and our parks were created so that people could see its majesty, take advantage of that tomorrow and go out for a short hike in a National Park. Visit a monument on the mall. Grab some friends and spend the time celebrating!
Thank you, Dr. King!
