June 22nd, 2016 brings us 64-days away from the National Park Service Centennial. In this edition of the #CentennialCountdown we go back 64-years to 1952 and the creation of the Adams National Historic Park and Coronado National Memorial.
As the National Park Service states about the Adam's site:
"From the sweet little farm at the foot of Penn’s Hill to the gentleman’s country estate at Peace field, Adams National Historical Park is the story of “heroes, statesman, disparate colonies into one united nation."
The Coronado National Memorial commemorates the fist expedition by Francisco Vasquez de Coronado into the Southwest.
