Dublin Western roadtrip

Glacier National park

  • Going-to-the-Sun Road - Make sure to drive this, it is awesome!

  • Highline Trail - This is a trail at the top of Going-to-the-Sun, at Logan Pass. You might have to wait a bit to find a parking spot, but you could hike a little bit down this and turn around when you feel like it.

  • Avalanche Lake Trail - This is short hike near Lake McDonald, it can get pretty packed, but it is also a beautiful spot.

  • Two Medicine Campground - Great campground in a more secluded part of the park, a beautiful setting and close to some other great hikes.

  • Pitamakan Pass - Hike starting from Two Medicine Campground that gets you on top of the ridge with some overlooks of incredible lakes.

  • Running Eagle Falls Nature Trail - Short hike to a waterfall that has a really really cool story

Yellowstone National Park

  • Boiling River - Short hike to a spot where you can put one foot in water that is warm and your other foot in water that is cold

  • Mammoth Hot Springs - You are most likely to see elk here, also a cool and quick stop to see the terraces nearby, there is also a campground here as well.

  • Lamar Valley - It’s a bit of a drive out here, but if you can make it there is a lot of wildlife to see

  • Artist Point - Super touristy, but a quick and beautiful stop overlooking the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

  • Norris Geyser Basin - One of the many geyser basins

    • Steamboat Geyser - One of the tallest geysers in the world, and it has been going off every could of days. If it is going to go off near the time that you are there it would be worth waiting by to see if you can catch it. - https://geysertimes.org/geyser.php?id=Steamboat

  • Fairy Falls Trail Parking Lot - This can also get busy, but a short hike away gets you to an incredible overlook that is above Grand Prismatic Springs, instagram worthy for sure

    • Grand Prismatic Spring Overlook

  • Old Faithful - A Yellowstone classic, it goes off about every hour

  • Morning Glory Pool - A short walk from Old Faithful to a crazy colored pool that is really cool, make the walk if you have the time

  • Lone Star Geyser - 5 mile round trip hike to a geyser that goes off every three hours. It will get you away from the people, but check the eruption times to make sure that you can see it when you go

Driving between Yellowstone and Teton

  • John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway - This is the best way to drive between the parks

Grand teton National Park

  • Schwabacher’s Landing - Amazing sunrise spot. This is where you are most likely to see a moose crossing the river in front of the Teton’s

  • Snake River Overlook - Famous overlook from an Ansel Adams photo, quick, but worthwhile stop.

  • Hikes

    • Cascade Canyon

    • Death Canyon

    • Lupine Meadows

  • Shadow Mountain - Great camping spot that is a bit off the beaten track. It is well known, so you might need to snag a spot early.
